label pattern design can adopt the combination of graphics, color blocks, lines and words, but try to avoid too small and too many color blocks, or too thin and too miscellaneous lines. For complex and small words or patterns that must be included, spot color version should be used. In addition, in order to prevent Yang characters from being broken and Yin characters from being pasted, small fonts can be thickened appropriately

(2) color design

due to the color on the surface of aluminized paper, in order to increase the visual appeal and attraction of the label, the color contrast and saturation should be improved in the design to increase the contrast with the metal color. In addition, multi-color overprint of color blocks should be prevented, and trapping of overprint color should be done in advance to prevent metal color from appearing

when designing wine bottle labels, considering that the lines of the printed products should be matched with the automatic packaging production line, the fiber direction of the label paper must be perpendicular to the bottle axis to avoid falling off during labeling

2. Whether offset printing, gravure printing or flexographic direct printing are used on the surface of aluminized paper, there will be some problems in printing adaptability. 3. printing color sequence

in printing, the color printed first and the color printed later differ greatly due to the different color sequence. Considering the characteristics of aluminized paper such as small absorption and slow drying, the following principles should be followed when printing aluminized paper with multi-color printing machine:

(1) the color with deep color and small area should be printed first

generally, the main tone background color (green, magenta, yellow, transparent color, etc.) with large area should be placed at the end of printing. If you print a large area first, the color printed later will not be overprinted. At the same time, when printing the color behind, it is easy to scratch and rub the surface of the ground color, affecting the appearance and design effect, resulting in the decline of the quality of printed matter. (2) First, the color with high overprint accuracy

aluminized paper has the dual physical properties of metal and paper, so the color with high overprint accuracy should be printed in front to reduce the difficulty of overprint

(3) the hue of post printing main color printing products tends to be biased towards the hue of post printing color. Therefore, in order to highlight the main color of the label image, the main color plate should be placed behind for printing

4. printing ink aluminized paper has smooth surface and poor absorption, so the requirements for ink fixation and dryness are relatively high. In addition, due to the phenomenon of powder and wool falling easily during printing, we should choose bright, fast curing and fast drying special inks with good water resistance, strong friction resistance and high viscosity, or UV inks

5. printing pressure the surface gloss of aluminized paper is high, and the required printing pressure should be smaller than that of paper. However, due to the small absorption of aluminized paper, the ink is difficult to be fixed on its surface. In order to make the ink adhere to the aluminized paper evenly and smoothly, the printing pressure should be adjusted appropriately

6. printing speed

the flatness of aluminized paper is high. If the printing speed is too fast, it will affect the normal transfer of ink. Therefore, when printing aluminized paper, the printing speed should be controlled within 6000 sheets/hour

7. ambient temperature and humidity due to the small absorption of aluminized paper, the drying of ink is slow. In order to speed up the drying speed of ink, the understanding of the concept of environmental protection in the printing workshop is also increasingly novel and reasonable. It should be controlled at 25-280C, and the relative humidity should also be about 60%. If the printing environment is too wet or dry, it will affect the moisture content and flexibility of the aluminized paper, resulting in cracks on the printing surface

the aluminized paper used for the wine label adopts moisture-proof packaging, which can prevent the entry and escape of moisture during transportation and storage, but cannot prevent the change of temperature. When the temperature is different from the ambient temperature, it will lead to paper bending and printing difficulties. Therefore, when the temperature in the aluminized paper package is very different from that in the printing workshop, it should be adjusted to the same temperature before use.
